Come along to our free Pop Up as part of Wrexham’s Street Festival! – We’re opening up the walkway again between Chester Street and Henblas Square through the former TJ Hughes building.
We have our ever popular StarDome with continuous tours of the stars and planets running throughout the day, Diddy Car Racing and our cardboard construction zone where young builders can get to work with their imagination. Science Busking and street performers will liven up the space alongside various small businesses who have taken up stalls.
Also, especially for this event, will be Charles Conway, the locally based author on internet safety for children signing copies of his latest book. Charles Conway is an Internet safety consultant with Clear as Crystal Training based in Wrexham, and an associate member of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS).

Run by the Wrexham Business Group CIC, supported by Wrexham Savers Ltd and Wrexham Matters, The Wrexham Street Festival concept came about after reading the Manchester Metropolitan University papers – Markets Matter – which concluded that regular markets increase footfall by up to 30% in a town centre on a given day.
Special thanks also to Gateway Church, The Portuguse Cultural Association, WCBC. Martin Rees Jewellers, Emz Creative Cafe.
The Street Festival is free for people to enter and stall prices are very competitive at only £20. There is a great range of food and craft stalls and a free entertainment programme.
We actively encourage start up businesses to try trading. Several are now looking for permanent premises in the town centre.
