Who is this training for?
Anyone can join in, individual or organisation & for personal or professional reasons.
Ideal for those in the childcare, volunteering, education, early years and care sectors.
All participants will walk away with a Level 3 Award in Safeguarding Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults certificate, which does not run out however it is recommend you refresh your training at least every 2 years to ensure your knowledge is the most current.
What does the training cover?
We will be covering the following topics for Children/Young people/Adults at risk in detail throughout the day:
*Safeguarding legislation and guidance
*Indicators of abuse or neglect
*Roles and responsibilities
*Sharing of information
*Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints
How long is the course?
6 contact hours in the classroom.
How many people will be on the course?
A maximum of 12 learners.
How is this training course assessed?
Multiple choice answer paper.
What do I need to bring?
Participants should bring their own lunches, we will provide Tea, coffee, water and a few snacks to keep us going.
Bring whatever notepads or technology you are happy taking notes on.
Don’t forget to allow time for town center parking. Water-world is closest (LL13 8BG) & has £3 all day parking.
