Who is this training for?
Anyone can join in, individual or organisation & for personal or professional reasons.
**If you have a higher level professional interest, i.e. you are a childcare manager or school teacher, etc, then this course partly fulfils the requirements of Ofsted/Estyn & the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These require you to have 12 hours of paediatric first aid training, so the 2-Day Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid would be required to fulfil their requirements. This 6 hour qualification also makes up the first half of the 12-hour course.
If you would like to do the 2 day course this this is still for you, but please speak to us so we can provide an extension date for day 2.**
All participants will walk away with a Level 3 in Emergency Peadiatric First Aid certificate, which also meets all the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for employers.
Those that take part will be supported through the most up-to-date information & guided through practical activities that will give them the skills to provide families, work or even strangers with potentially life saving First Aid in a quick & safe way.
What does the training cover?
We will be covering the following topics in detail throughout the day:
*Responsibilities and reporting
*Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
*Various minor injuries
*Assessment of the situation
*Wounds and bleeding
*Anaphylaxia and Shock
