Techniquest Glyndwr’s astronomy club is going on tour! After starting off at TQG our tour takes us to Brymbo Heritage Centre.

We’re looking at the planets that cross our night sky, objects named for their wandering spin . We will be looking at the different types of planets in our solar system, from the Rocky Inner planets to the outer gas giants as well as travelling across our solar system in our immersive Planetarium.

Explore the art of natural navigation and learn about the history of Brymbo Ironworks. We’ll be playing with telescopes and binoculars on the hunt for planets in the night sky. Our activities will honour the steel making history of the site as we look at nebulas, structures that have a huge connection with iron, the key component of steel.
