Over the summer we will be out and about, in Wrexham County to explore many of the wonderful places and things of offer in Wrexham.
Last week we visited the small town of Chirk.
Just 20 minutes from Wrexham town centre by car, you will arrive at the delightful town of Chirk located at the bottom end of the Ceriog Valley, within the County of Wrexham. We can so often take for granted what is within easy reach on our doorstep. Chirk has its own town council and a very active community that take great pride in the town. It is extremely tidy and well kept, and the summer flowers look stunning.
There is so much on offer in Chirk from a raft on independent shops, to cafes and a range of restaurants. The Jewel in the Crown of Chirk is the magnificent castle. From the award winning train station with landscaped banks, to the canal and aqueduct, the stunning church, church yard and trees, and the abundance of beautiful well kept gardens we really do welcome you spend some time in Chirk. We had the most delightful walk. For a great deal more information on Chirk here is the Wikipedia link.
They say that pictures tell a 1000 words so here is a selection of photos we took in Chirk. We hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them.
